Nicolas Vionnet (born 1976 in Basel, Switzerland) and Wouter Sibum (born 1980 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands) are two artists working as an artist-duo in the fields of installation and public art. Both graduated in 2009 from the Bauhaus University Weimar (Germany) with a Master of Fine Arts degree after studying at the Public Art and New Artistic Strategies program.

In 2012 Vionnet & Sibum presented an installation work in the main project of the 3rd Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, curated by Kathrin Becker (artistic director of KINDL – Center for Contemporary Art, Berlin). 2015 they realized a major intervention in the sea at the 4th Aarhus Biennial Sculpture by the Sea Denmark. They have participated in numerous exhibitions and projects together throughout Europe, most recently with an intervention in the context of the 100 years Bauhaus Celebration at Gaswerk Weimar (Germany).

In working together as a duo, Vionnet & Sibum challenge each other in their views and encourage each other to make different choices in the process of creating a work. Together they have a fascination for investigating the transformation of objects and situations by changing one single element. The cooperation complements their individual research and art practices balancing objects, interventions and context related works.
